My host family started off as strangers but very soon we were family, 4 years later here I am back in Aus with my boyfriend, introducing him to my Australian family, and catching up on the time passed. Having a student from overseas joining our family, teaching my girls a different language and being such a huge part in a student's exchange program has been really rewarding.
